Popular Electronics was created in 1954 by Ziff-Davis Publishing for an audience of electronics hobbyists and experimenters. It soon became the “World’s Largest-Selling Electronics Magazine”. The circulation was 240,000 by 1957 and exceeded 400,000 by 1963. Rival “Electronics World” was merged into “Popular Electronics” in 1972.
RCA Solid-State Hobby Circuits Manual - This new edition of the Hobby Circuits Manual presents more than 60 practical and useful solid-state circuits which can be built by electronics hobbyists ranging from beginners to experts. The operation of each circuit is described in detail, and photographs, schematic diagrams, parts lists, and construction layouts are given.

A web site that is dedicated exclusively to the 8052 mirocontroller, related products (both hardware and software), and 8052 derivative chips. (wayback version as site is shutdown)
This includes the traditional 8052, 8051, 8032, and 8031 along with more modern derivatives such as the Atmel AT89S8252, and many derivatives by Silicon Laboratories, Philips, and many others.

If built and tested programmer properly setup for your PC, you can program a wide range of tested chips from many different manufacturers easy, reliable and fast. With adapters dip 42, dip 40, plcc 32, tsop 32, 40, 48, psop 44 package chips are also supported, the 4.0 and 4.5 board programmers have adapters on board to make it even more convenient. Building it with a factory made board or a kit is not difficult if you have some experience with electronics. The software is easy to use and has all the functions you need.
An integrated circuit simulator. Sketch the circuit and simulate the large-signal, small-signal and noise behavior of the circuit. After that simulation has finished you can generate and display the simulation results on the presentation output page.
The buck-boost regulator circuit delivers -5V output. I hoped this would a nice way to generate a negative voltage for e.g. an LCD-display. However this circuit requires component values that are similar to the buck regulator at high load.
