Quadzilla 4 in 1 Chip

Quadzilla strikes again

This is a booklet published by National Semiconductor that lists many applications for their various "quad" - 4 circuits in one chip - devices.

Voltage Controlled Oscillators, up-down staircase generator, time delays, limit comparators, and so on, all made with quads containing amplifiers or comparators. Here is a new concept of not only using the advantages shown for the digital world, but the ability to use simple quad linear devices to build more complex circuits.

Quad Differential Comparator LM339

Quad Comparator LM339

These devices consist of four independent voltage comparators that are designed to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. Operation from dual supplies also is possible, as long as the difference between the two supplies is 2 V to 36 V, and VCC is at least 1.5 V more positive than the input common-mode voltage.

"The goal is a site where the learning of electronics is hands-on and fun. And the SPICE circuit simulator is a great software tool to achieve that goal. It hit me the first time I used SPICE - simulating is fun! And because it's easy to use, I've spent a lot of time building and exploring circuits." - Rick

Wide-Bandwidth Dual JFET Opamp LF353

Dual JFET Opamp LF353

These devices are low cost, high speed, dual JFET input operational amplifiers with an internally trimmed input offset voltage. They require low supply current yet maintain a large gain bandwidth product and fast slew rate. In addition, well matched high voltage JFET input devices provide very low input bias and offset currents.

Open Source Hardware - OSHW

OSHW

OSHW Draft Definition 0.3 is based on the Open Source Definition for Open Source Software and draft OSHW definition 0.2, further incorporating ideas from the TAPR Open Hardware License.

Open Source Hardware (OSHW) is a term for tangible artifacts - machines, devices, or other physical things - whose design has been released to the public in such a way that anyone can make, modify, distribute, and use those things.

4N35 Optocoupler

4N35 Optocoupler

The set 4N35, 4N36, 4N37 are popular and versatile optocouplers for isolation of circuit blocks. The most important feature is the Isolation test voltage 5000 VRMS that means 5KV. But PCB Design is very important to get this isolation for your products too.

LM317 - Adjustable 3-terminal Regulator

LM317 - Adjustable 3-terminal Regulator

The LM117 series of adjustable 3-terminal positive voltage regulators is capable of supplying in excess of 1.5A over a 1.2V to 37V output range.

LM317 3-Terminal Adjustable Regulator

Because the regulator is and detects only the input-to-output differential voltage, supplies of several hundred volts can be regulated as long as the maximum input-to-output differential is not exceeded. That is, avoid short-circuiting the output.

Feedback and Temperature Control

Excellent Online Educational Pages at Exeter. Students and Teachers can get ideas on how to enhance and enrich the Science Education Process. A Sound understanding of Physics and Chemistry is needed for stepping into “Electricity and Magnetism”. We have to move young minds into Electronics even before High School, as a part of Science itself. - delabs
