Induction Heating - Cooker Project

Single plate induction cooker demonstration board Uses ST7LITE09 and STGW40NC60WD (40 A, W series).

The design is entirely controlled by a simple ST7FLITE09Y0 8-bit microcontroller, which provides the PWM driving signals, communicates information to the user interface, and drives the fan and relay control to the plate feedback.

ViPEC Network Analyzer

ViPEC is a powerful tool for the analysis of high frequency, linear electrical networks. It takes a schematic description of the electrical network and performs a linear analysis in the frequency domain.

ViPEC Network Analyzer

The output is in the form of port parameters (S, Y or Z) with results presented on a user defined grid, Smithchart or table. It can also be used to compute other characteristics like stability factors and group delay.

EdSim51 - 8051 Simulator

A virtual 8051 is interfaced with virtual peripherals such as a keypad, motor, display, UART, etc. The student can write 8051 assembly code, step through the code and observe the effects each line has on the internal memory and the external peripherals.

EdSim51 - 8051 Simulator

The student can learn how to scan a keypad, multiplex 7-segment displays, control a motor and count its revolutions, etc.

Home Automation by Edward Cheung

This centralized system can control almost all of the lights in my home, a few appliances, the garden irrigation, some window treatments, the Audio/Video system, the security system, and the HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning).

Earthing Practice and Power Quality

"Earth leakage currents arise mainly from the EMC filters built into electronic equipment with switched mode power supplies. Standards limit the leakage current from non-fixed equipment (i.e. equipment that plugs into a standard socket outlet) to less than 3.5 mA. When a lot of electronic equipment is in use, the total leakage current in the protective conductor can become significant."
